Adult Owl Beanie
Materials:
-Medium weight (4) yarn,
- size 5 mm (H) hook
- 14 small buttons
- yarn needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
dc - Double Crochet
fptr - Front Post Treble Crochet
St - Stitch
fpdc - Front Post Double Crochet
bpdc - Back Post Double Crochet
rep - repeat
Owl pattern:
Owl 1: skip 2 dc, fptr in next 2 st, reach in FRONT of the fptr and fptr in the 2 skipped st. skip 2 st, fptr in next 2 st, reach BEHIND of the fptr and fptr in the 2 skipped st
Owl 2: fpdc in 8 times.
Chain 2 (doesn’t count as dc) beginning every row.
Don’t turn after every round

Chain 3
Rnd 1: 10dc in the third chain from hook, slip st to first dc
Rnd 2: 2 dc in the same st, 2dc all around, slip st to first dc
Rnd 3: 2dc in the same st, dc in the next dc, *(2dc, dc), *all around, slip st to first dc
Rnd 4: 2dc in the same st, dc 2, *(2dc, dc 2), * rep all around, slip st to first dc
Rnd 5: 2dc in the same st, dc 3, *(2dc, dc 3), *rep all around, slip st to first dc
Rnd 6: 2dc in the same st, dc 4, *(2dc, dc 4), *rep all around, slip st to first dc
Rnd 7: 2dc in the same st, dc 5, *(2dc, dc 5), *rep all around, slip st to first dc
